What is the origen of the Zilonis name?
A while ago, I started coding a RETE forward production Rules Engine. As I made some progress, I was realizing that I was having something interesting, and wanted to create a project of it. For that I thought: you have to have a nice name. The name search started. A Rules Engine can be used as a tool to Knowledge Representation. I started looking for a name, and I thought that the name of an animal would be cool. I picked Elephant because of the connotation that elephants are smart... or they have good memory... knowledge... I guess that the link is there After that, I started looking for translations of elephant in different languages, and I came up with "Zilonis" in Latvian, which I found it sounded really cool. That's the story of how the Zilonis name came all along. Zilonis means elephant, that's right. That's the only link between the project and Latvia.
I would like to try Zilonis. Do you have any tutorials or examples to get me started?
The tutorial section of this site is undergoing development. It is going to be updated as I made progress in the documentation. If you would like to contribute with this, your help is more than welcomed!. Please contact me if you would like to help.
In the repository there are a couple of clp files that include sample rules that have been tested. They should work as a reference for anyone trying to do something interesting with the engine.
